Text Box: Beth Rietveld, Director of the Women’s Center will discuss with us the ways in which the Women’s Center has made and is continuing to make a difference for women on the OSU campus. Beth has been involved in working with women's issues at OSU since the Faculty Women's Network formed in 1986. She has had responsibility for the Women's Center since 1992. ____________________________________________ Dr. Susan Shaw, Director of Women Studies, will discuss the Women Studies Program and its impact on the OSU curriculum. She came to OSU in 1996, having taught religion for eight years and served one year as the director of an HIV respite care program. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Berry College in Rome, Georgia, her hometown, a Master’s and Ph.D. in religious education from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, and an MAIS in Women Studies and English from OSU.

Two Topics—Issues in the Mission of AAUW

Parking – Since it is often difficult to find a parking space on campus, there will be a carpool to the Women’s Center from the First United Methodist Church parking lot at 12^th St. and Monroe Ave at 6:30 P.M. The carpool cars will circle around to pick up additional people, so if you don’t see the carpool, just wait a few minutes. Please make sure that you park in the correct church parking lot.
