Meet Betty Johnson, Women’s History Month Honoree
March is National Women’s History Month and we will honor Corvallis resident Betty Johnson at our March 16th branch meeting. You can read about Betty’s accomplishments on page 5 of this newsletter.

Dollars for Kiva Team AAUW of Oregon
AAUW of OR is asking branch members that attend meetings during March to donate $1. The $1’s from across the state will be put together and TeamAAUW of Oregon will be formed on Kiva with our dollars.

Kiva is a non-profit organization which grants micro-loans to people, mostly women, around the world. The loan repayment rate is 98.3%. Money that is granted from Team AAUW will be repaid to us by the receiver. It can then be granted again and again. The majority of loans are used to start small businesses or help small existing ones grow. Our dollars can help raise a woman out of the cycle of poverty so that her children are properly fed and educated. For more information check www.kiva.org
