May Luncheon
Saturday, May 19

Corvallis Country Club
10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

 

Reservations needed by May 10; cost is $15.00

The luncheon menu will be Cobb salad, rolls, beverages, and dessert. The cost is $15.00 and includes the gratuity. Please send your check made out to “Corvallis AAUW” along with the completed form below, to Stefani McRae-Dickey, 754 Wyatt Lane, Philomath, OR 97370 by May 10.

Juliana Mbuthia, our AAUW International Fellow from Kenya and Corvallis Branch member, will be our speaker. She says, “I will talk about the struggle of African women. I will look at this topic from socio-economic and political dimensions. I will also mention the girl child education in Kenya.”

Sounds most interesting! Hope to see you on May 19th!

LAF Book Sale

There will be some great "finds" for summer reading at the annual LAF Book-Media Sale. Paperback books will sell for $2 or 3/$5. Hardback books and other media items will be $3 apiece. Please bring cash or your checkbook to this meeting. Members are encouraged to donate their "gently used books. Please bring them to the country club from 9:30-10 a.m. If you would like to have your items picked up earlier, please contact Marilyn Roland, 752-5257, after May 3.
